STEPS TO RESTORE HEADLIGHTS
- Apply high-performance masking tape (such as 3MAutomotive Masking Tape) to the auto body around the lens you are restoring.
- Use progressively finer levels of abrasives (or the 3M abrasive discs) to remove yellowing, scratches, dirt, haze, and other buildup on the lens.
- If you are not using a 3M or similar system, you'll want to finish with a compound. If using a 3M kit, most will include 3M Rubbing Compound. This will shine up your headlights nicely... but don't stop here!
- Wax with your choice of wax and a soft cloth (the 3M kits may include Synthetic Wax Protectant).
- Remove the masking tape, and voila - beautiful, like-new headlights.
- Want to keep that "like new" look? Be sure to protect with 3M Headlight Clear Coat Wipes.
